Monarch Select-series

The Select series was characterized by its more "serious" titles. No half-naked ladies or guntoting gangsters, but learned subjects such as war history, family planning and attacks on leading political thought. When not adorned by classical art or photographs, the covers were designed by Monarch's leading designer, George Fried.
